All roads lead to Carrickcruppen on Sunday 13th November at 1pm when the Dromintee minor girls seek to add the Division 2 trophy to their cabinet, when they take on Silverbridge in the championship final. Both teams had to take extra time to beat off their respective opposition in the semi finals and both will know that championship football is about which teams can produce that extra bit of quality during the final to land the spoils.
Dromintee had beaten Granemore away and Mullaghbawn home in the semi final on their path to the final while Silverbridge had a preliminary round victory over Middletown, before beating Eire Og comprehensively in the quarterfinals and then taking the scalp of Ballyhegan in the semi finals. Silverbridge will go into the game as favourites given that they had beaten last year's U16:5 and minor winners Ballyhegan en-route to the final, but Dromintee will not go down without a fight and they hope to finish off the 2022 season with a morale boosting victory.
Dromintee club would ask their members and supporters to rally behind the minor girl’s team on Sunday and get behind them as they bid to wrap up the club’s competitive action in 2022 by bringing home the final piece of silverware on offer, in what has been a really successful season for the Dromintee club on the playing pitch.
