Saturday was the turn of our u11.5s to take to the field for the Malachy Watters Tournament in Culloville. It was a fine day and our P6 (Now P7’s) team played some fantastic football in the group stages, defeating Roche, Cullyhanna, Silverbridge and Mullaghbawn. In the semi-final we had a difficult game against Cullyhanna but pushed on well qualifying for the final against Crossmaglen. The final was a close encounter but we emerged victorious on a final score line of Dromintee 1-5 to Crossmaglens 0-5.
Well done to all our players today as our P7s (now first years) were unfortunate losing to a strong Mullaghbawn side in the semi final,
It was a special honour for team captain on the day Caolan O’Rourke who lifted the cup named after his uncle. Many thanks to the parents for their support and to Culloville for a great blitz.
