Our primary role will always be to provide a sporting and social outlet for our children; to develop personalities, foster friendships and help them thrive.
At the heart of the community, we want to develop a secure and safe environment for our young people but we understand that they will face many challenges as they grow.
One such challenge is the prevalence of a drugs culture, which can appear tempting to our youth and can wreak havoc in our community.
We will be hosting an information evening at Carrickdale Hotel on 25th October at 7pm where parents and young people (14+) will have the chance to learn about the dangers of drugs and available support in the local area.
Speaker Theresa Burke will also give a heartbreaking account of how her son lost his life due to his drug addiction and how drugs devastated her family.
We would encourage all our parents and young people to embrace this information evening as one small step in addressing a society wide problem.
Events have been posted in all team groups - please RSVP so we are able to plan the event. If you’re in multiple groups you only need to reply once.
