With a number of COVID 19 cases identified within the community in recent days everyone is reminded that if they are a close contact of a positive case of COVID-19 they must isolate for 10 days (despite a negative covid test). This means they cannot attend club, training or matches.
You are deemed close contact if you live in the same household as someone with COVID-19 symptoms or who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Or if you have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 2 days before that person was symptomatic and 10 days after the onset of their symptoms.
Contact comprises of being within one metre for longer than a minute or within 2 metres for more than 15 mins. Or if you have travelled in the same vehicle as someone.
Taking part in sport - training or games - does not constitute a close contact.
It is up to each player to take responsibility if they feel they are a close contact and isolate appropriately.
If anyone has any queries please feel free to contact any member of the club Executive or Coaching Committee .
