Dromintee 4-29 Crossmaglen 1-02

Our U13's kicked off their league campaign at home this evening in perfect conditions with visitors Crossmaglen providing the opposition.

From the throw in, the Dromintee lads took control of the game and by the first water break were 1-13 ahead with scores coming from Neil Evans, Darragh Bolger, Ollie Rice, Oisin Byrne, Jarlath ONeill, Gavin O’Rourke and Tomas Fox.

The second quarter followed a similar trend to the first with Ronan Martin helping to extend the lead with a few of his own scores. While our midfielders and forwards kept the score board ticking over our goal keeper Conor Graham and full back line of Emmett Mullen, Kyle Mc Mahon and Louis Winters cleaned up any ball that treatened our goal lines and were well supported by our half back line of Petie Rice, Charlie Fox and Scott Harris. As we approached half time the Dromintee lads were well ahead.

At the start of the second half Crossmaglen applied pressure with our full back line coming under pressure. However any high ball that was launched in the direction of our goal lines was well commanded by our full back Emmett Mullen who on more than one occasion fielded high ball and launched it right back down the field where our mid field and half forward line converted into scores.

Over the course of the second half the management team introduced Patrick Rice, Oliver Kissward, Cathal Rice, Kieran ONeill, Jake Mooney Ben Mc Coy and Shane Cumiskey who all helped the team close out the game on a score line of 4-29 to 1-02.
