Dromintee 5:13 v Silverbridge 6:6
Dromintee U16:5 girls had their final challenge match before the league commences next Monday when they took on Division 1 outfit Silverbridge on a wet and miserable evening in Dromintee.
Ahead 4:9 to 2:1 at the half time whistle, Silverbridge came more into game in the second half and with the assistance of a strong wind whittled away at the home team lead.
Dromintee used the last quarter to introduce a number of the U14:5 team to increase competition on the team. They all acquitted themselves well as for a number of them it was their second game of the evening.
The home team stayed ahead to win the game by four which is a great boost for the team as they take on Clan Na Gael from Lurgan next Monday in league.
Scorers on the night:
Nicola campbell 2:2; Aoibh O’Neill 2:0; Grainne O’Rourke 0:5; Sarah Graham 0:4; Mairead Martin 1:0; Naomh Mc Cormick 0:2
Great performance by the girls - with everyone playing well and training Saturday morning will be much easier to prepare for after this terrific win.
