Dromahill got off to a winning start last night in their first league game of the season against a strong Grange team. Grange got off to a good start with a strong wind behind their backs leaving them 2:7 to 1:4 ahead at the break.
Dromahill had a hard fight to get the scores on the board in the second half, but with 10 minutes to go, the sides were level at 2:09 to 1:12.
The last 10 minutes saw a combined total of 4:03 scored with Dromahill racing into a 7 point lead with five minutes left on the clock. Grange finished strong in the last five minutes with a flurry of their own scores and the game came right down to the wire.
On the final whistle Dromahill had won by the narrowest of margins on a score line of 3:14 to 4:10.
It was a great first game back and the girls are delighted to be back out on the field. Next game is next Saturday 15th against Carrickcruppen.
