Dromintee U15’s enter the final week of preparations for the U15 Shield Championship final when they had an early morning training session yesterday at the club. Team is in good shape & everyone is tearing to get out on the pitch. The final takes place Thursday 1st October in Ballymacnab ground at 7pm v Tir Na Og - Dromintee had beaten Cullyhanna in the semi final and have got themselves playing well at the business end of the season. Three of team Emmet Mc Keever, Frank Mackle, Michael Mc Creesh were all part of the U14 panel that reached the final three years ago versus the same opponents in the Division 2 championship and it will be their third final in a row at this level which is some sort of record. Boosted by five members of the successful U13’s South Armagh league winners this Dromintee team are a youngish squad who will hopefully add to their championship pedigree by taking home the cup on Thursday evening.
