Dromintee U15’s bowed out of the Division 2 championship when they went under by two points to Culloville. Behind 0:7 to 0:2 at half time and playing against the wind second half they really got stuck into Culloville to outscore the opposition 1:5 to 0:4 in second half & took the lead in the last quarter with an Aidan Byrne goal to lead by one point. This game had everything - great scores, fine teamwork, a black card, a second half penalty miss and goalmouth scrambles. Culloville who had scored 30 goals in their league campaign never had a clear cut chance at goals all night and depended on frees for the majority of their scores. While beaten this was without doubt Dromintee’s best performance all year and will now compete for the U15 shield championship which will take place over the next number of weeks. Really fine performances all round and if we can keep focused our first win of the year is just around the corner.
