Dromintee u14 Girls produced a scintillating opening quarter of football to all but put this semi-final beyond Clan na Gael at the first water break.
The twin attacking threat of Nicola Campbell and Alanna O'Neill ruthlessly punished every mistake in defence by the Lurgan girls - often stripping the ball in the tackle themselves to create their opportunities. Between the two girls, five goals were on the scoreboard in the opening quarter, along with points from Rea Winters and Caoimhe Byrne.
Inevitably the visitors fought back strongly in the middle section of the game to put the home team under pressure but the girls continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over on the break.
The introduction of Kerry Phillips strengthened Dromintee's middle sector and the home team finished strongly to secure a Division 2 Championship Final date with South Armagh neighbours Crossmaglen.
