Dromintee u13s traveled to Cullyhanna to meet the joint table toppers in what proved to be horrible conditions for a game. Ultimately, the visitors proved too strong for their hosts and moved clear at the top of South Armagh Division One.
On a soaked pitch with standing water in places, Dromintee moved the ball more efficiently than their opponents and created scoring opportunities consistently in attack. At the back, Dromintee mopped every Cullyhanna attack up with Conor Laverty and Michael Walker in fine form at the heart of the defence.
Going forward, Fionnán Ó Tuathail and Neil Evans carried a constant threat. Cullyhanna indiscretions were punished from placed balls by Diarmaid O'Rourke and Keane McArdle drove the team forward consistently from midfield.
Next week sees the visit of Carrickcruppen and with half of the regulation league games over, three more wins should secure the u13s a place in the South Armagh League final.
