County Down visitors Glenn provided stiff opposition for our u13s with a late comeback providing just enough to take the honours after an excellent contest between two good footballing teams.
A young Dromintee side put on an excellent first half display and were unlucky to trail by two points 2-05 to 1-06 at the break. In what was a strong team performance, u11s Tomás Fox and Ronan Martin stood out with strong defending and smart movement respectively.
The physically bigger Glenn side got a grip on possession in in the third quarter and forged ahead. A storming final quarter from the hosts - featuring a hattrick from marauding midfielder Gavin O'Rourke - meant that Dromintee squeezed home by the slimmest of margins.
