U15 Boys Féile Football – Preliminary Round
St Peter’s Lurgan 2-05 Dromintee 4-05
Dromintee got their Féile campaign off to a winning start with a hard-fought victory away to St Peter’s GAC Lurgan in the preliminary round.
This was a very tight contest throughout, with both teams exchanging scores and little between them for most of the game. St Peter’s kept themselves well in the match with a penalty and a well taken goal, but Dromintee matched them score for score and stayed firmly in the contest.
With around ten minutes remaining the game was still finely balanced, but Dromintee finished strongly. Two late goals helped them pull clear and secure the win on a final scoreline of 4-05 to 2-05.
The boys now turn their attention to their next Féile fixture when they host Silverbridge GFC on Sunday 15th March at 12pm.
