Following storm Eowyn in January 2025 which caused havoc across the County and irreparable damage to our ball stops on pitch 3 we are delighted to advise our club members that these works were completed earlier this week.

We are also delighted to inform you, following years of planning and hard work from our club officers and the generosity of our club members and wider community that our Floodlights to Pitch 3 were also completed earlier this week.

Our Minors, in preparation for their Ulster Championship campaign, had the first training session under the new lights Friday evening and they look very impressive.

These works would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our club officers and the ongoing commitment of our club members and sponsors- without your support and commitment creating top class facilities, such as this, is not possible.

Further to this we will be progressing with our spectator fence around Pitch 3 in the coming weeks which is grant aided by Newry, Mourne and Down Council and as you may be aware we have our latest initiative in our Crowdfunder campaign to raise money for other essential works to complete boundary work around Pitch 3.

We would like to thank Rice Electrical, MM Fabrications, Slieve Gullion Contracts, Thomas Hughes and the many club volunteers who completed the construction works for Floodlights and Ball stops.

Finally, the club is very appreciative of everyone's contributions over the years in making this happen and all going to plan the remainder of works will be completed over the course of the next 5-6 months.
