U12s Runners up in Ballyholland Tournament.

Our U12s travelled to Ballyholland on Saturday for the annual Kieran Sands U12.5 tournament and narrowly missed out on making it two tournament wins in as many weeks.

Each club that attended was invited to bring one team and the tournament was a selection of some of the strongest teams in Down. Dromintee were the only club representing Armagh.

Dromintee got off to a good start, winning all their group games against Ballyholland, Drumgath and Clonduff to progress to the cup semi finals where they met Saval.
Playing some excellent football they overcame Saval to set up a final against Glenn.
Glenn were a much larger physical team and despite Dromintee dominating possession for large periods of the game they couldn't convert the numerous chances they created and just fell short.

This is a young Dromintee side made up of mostly U12 and U11 players, so the boys punched well above their weight all day against older and physically bigger boys and they can hold their heads high for a fantastic effort. As always they represented the club with distinction.

The coaches would like to thank Ballyholland for the invite and the hospitality and the parents for making the effort to get the kids there and showing their support.
