As our u16 Boys prepare for the defence of our Spirit of Paul McGirr Ulster u16 title, Dromintee GAC are delighted to launch the “Cairde Dhromainn Tí” initiative to better support our players and teams.
In recent years, our coaches, administrators and wider community have invested their time heavily in the development of our youth through Gaelic Games. Dromintee GAC provides an outlet for all of the children of the parish to play and now continue to produce more and more competitive players and teams.
Our long-term goal is twofold. Firstly, we want to maintain and reinforce the practices that have allowed us to consistently produce strong numbers of competitive players. However, the next step is to build a pathway that allows us to bring all players through the older underage grades towards our senior teams effectively.
Dromintee want to build the best possible advice and coaching on and off the field to ensure our players continue to develop. Simultaneously we want to build teams that are as well prepared as our competitors and can challenge for county titles at all grades.
To do this we want to develop what we can provide in key areas, which requires investment in to bring us up towards what our competitors are doing:
1. Strength & Conditioning
2. Game Analysis
3. Schools Coaching Programmes
4. Team Coaching (where necessary)
5. Nutritional Advice
6. Additional Medical Support
The Club’s Football Committee have identified key programmes to move forward our overall approach and to ensure we build a platform for future success.
We are hoping to identify people who may be able to support this work with either monthly or one off contributions specifically for these programmes.

All donations will be recognised within the Cairde Dhromainn Tí initiative and will come with recognition internally and externally as well as bespoke clothing for contributors.
Please note that this initiative is entirely separate from club membership and is not intended to burden members who are not in a position to get involved at this time. Club membership remains the key contribution to the overall running of our club.
If you might be in a position to support these specific objectives and our teams through the Cairde Dhromainn Tí initiative, please get in touch via Cairdedhromainnti@gmail.com or contact our Coaching Officer Aidan O’Rourke directly (07557312853)
