Today Dromintee u12 management took three teams to the Culloville blitzes in what were perfect playing conditions.

Our u11 team won the John Wilson Cup having defeated local neighbours Killeavy by 1 point in extra time in what was a fantastic game of football. Throughout the competition the team went undefeated having beaten Forkhill, Culloville and Cullyhanna in the group stages before beating Carrickcruppen in the semi finals. This was a fantastic result for all involved and in the final the kids showed unbelievable resolve and courage to come from 7 down at halftime to force extra time and then go and win the Cup.

Our u12 team were beaten by one point by Carrickcruppen after extra time in the Malachy Watters Cup. They beat Crossmaglen, Culloville and Cullyhanna in the group stages before beating local neighbours Killeavy in the semi final. Unfortunately they just fell short by the smallest of margins against a strong Cruppen team. Again, this team showed tremendous skills and resolve throughout the competition and particularly in the final when 6 points down at half time to force the game to extra time. A tough lesson for this group but plenty of lessons to take forward.

Our younger u11 team were beaten in the semi-final of the John Wilson Shield. Unfortunately we do not have a photo of this team so apologies for this. This team included Laina OHanlon, Lily Bolger, Jasmine Conway, Brian Thompson, Logan Conlon, Shane Campbell, Thomas Kiley, Daniel Loughran, Darragh McMullen, Nathan Thompson and Luke Garney.

Thanks to Culloville for a great day and well run blitz.
